Hi all
I am looking to purchase a new wet cutter and after reading the forum it seems the RUBI nd200 or the Norton TT200 are rated quite well and would be contenders.
However, I have 600 x 300 Porcelain to cut with mitred edge along the 600 side, from images and videos of the above machines it...
I have realtively few cuts to make on 30x60 porcelain tiles that will be visible. Normally I would hire an overhead wet tile saw to do the whole job, but here in Italy, where I live anyway, I'm having trouble hiring one. The cuts need to be accurate as well as very clean as they are visible and...
Hi we excitedly choose some porcelain floor tiles for our kitchen and bathroom, but think the tradesman did a poor job of laying. Is there any way of rescuing without starting all over again? It's like walking on a rope bridge the floor is so uneven. So disappointed and feel very hard done by...

can anyone recommend some decent nippers that can withstand porcelain. Not the mosaic type with two round blades on the end, but the more traditional type. Also who else uses nippers still in this world of power tools ?

Hello,
I am planing on using no more ply over my existing 18mm flooring to lay 600x300 porcelain tiles.
Would there be any benefit in laying 2 layers of the 6mm no more ply to create 12mm covering.
Will this make the floor stronger or is the 6mm enough.
The joist are 8x2 at 16inch...
My patio is currently a patchwork of crazy paving, cement and concrete slabs (see pics below). I’d like to raise and level the floor before laying some outdoor porcelain tiles (pics below). I’ve found a builder specialised in paving who wants to do the job. He says he s going to screed the...
Hi All, I will be laying 9m2 of 600x300 rectified polished porcelain tiles in my bathroom. It will be over green chipboard and I know all the advice is against this but I have tiled over chipboard before and not had a problem. It is new chipboard, well screwed down at 5” centres with no bounce...
Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before, but couldn't find an example for this situation.
Question is do I need to decouple with Ditra mat (or similar) or will it be fine without?
Tiles are 10mm thick porcelain.
This is in a new extension linking to existing kitchen.
The new...

Hi, I'm looking to buy 6 or so Wickes Porcelain Floor Tiles - 'Courtyard' product code 235 245, 330mm x 330mm. Boxes first bought in Wickes, Broadstairs, Kent circa 10 years ago, now discontinued. Would be VERY grateful if anyone has any spares for sale - best prices paid. Thank you
We have just had B&Q fit a kitchen but although we have had B&Q tiles also, we got an independent fitter to level and install the floor as he was half the price of B&Q. We think he did an excellent job, however a couple of tiles have chipped within a month - not at the edges but in the middle...

Hi, I'm new to this forum and looking for advice.
Has anyone used porcelain, wood effect tiles and found them in lengths longer than 150cm and varying widths? I'd like ideas as to suppliers if possible, thanks in advance!
Hi everyone, are there any other suppliers of Thin Porcelain Tiles? I’m particularly interested in a white porcelain of approx 600mm x 1200. I’ve got some porcel-thin samples but I’m unsure that the tile I have is white enough, my customers says it’s too cream.
Thanks for any replies.

Hi , I’ve recently completed tiling the floor of a 30m2 orangery and finished upto the bi fold door system that runs the full length of the room . The customer originally wanted to create a patio area outside using Indian sandstone or similar slabs . Now he’s changed his mind and wants me to...
