Hello,
An idea was run past me today, with regards to making up a kitchen floor 20mm depth using slc. They said to bulk it out with sand?
I wondered if it was acceptable to do? If so what kind of ratios are we talking?
Thanks

I got a call last week from a company that I do a lot of re-furb work for, they wanted me to meet a lady at a house that she rents out, I took her number and rang her, she explained that her father had fixed the tiles in the kitchen prior to the house being let out again but there was a problem...

Wanted to know if there was any...

Somewhat spookily, the day after I read Dave's response to a guest thread where Dave gave the history of uncoupling membranes, I get a call asking to look at some sunken tiles around the leisure centre swimming pool. Haven't got a photo but around the pool is the edging tile, a gulley, a single...

I have been asked to quote for quite a large area of riven slate to be fixed outdoors. It seems that the "middleman" on this particular job reckons it should all be fixed using sand and cement.
Please can you help me out with good reasons why it shouldn't be done his way?
