I have a flat roof to tile with slate tiles and I'd like to make a grout to be waterproof. I've never used epoxy grout and don't want to (not sure if you can use it on slate anyway). I was thinking to mix grout with SBR - what are your thoughts?
anyone who may know where i may buy large quantities of SBR the white co- polymer liquid used as a bonding agent, commercial sellers if possible ??? :hurray::thumbsup: thanks for any replies

I've been reading all your helpful advice to everyone, so after tearing my hair out for most of the day thought I would sign up. Please could someone clarify if I should've used Cementone SBR on top of a self levelling latex floor compound. I originally stripped the old kitchen floor...

hi anyone that has used mapei keraflex s1 floor adhesive can i put sbr in the mix with the water as well as priming the floor or does it not need it
Once sbr has been mixed with water does it then have a time scale before it goes off. Reason im asking is I normally premix my sbr into 5l bottles 3:1 and when I opened a bottle yesterday it smelt like rotten egg so didnt use it. Anyone had any problems like this?
Jobs my own living room. Ripped up carpet and grippers leaving the screed with small holes and a little crumbling around the room edges from taking up the grippers.
Knocked up an SBR slurry mix and then when tacky applied some addy to fill the holes. Be alright won't it?? Lol ;)

OK it's a white milky liquid , but how can we decide how-much money to pay for 5ltr ? how do we know what strength it is ? as obviously the cheaper makes on the market are weaker as they are diluted with water ..... ?
Can I prime screed with SBR ? And lay over floor leveler " weber floor flex " ? if yes how mix it and how long wait till I can lay leveler? Second option is
To prime screed with Mapei eco prim grip. Or maybe both ? Thanks guys !
