    clout nails or screws for hardie 250?

    has anyone ever used clout nails for HB250?, hardie recommend either so I've been thinking of using clouts on a job I'm starting on wednesday. Floor is pan flat with zero deflection.

    Dealing with rusty screws

    Hi, I posted another thread a while ago on the problems I was having with my ceramic tiling in my kitchen. Briefly job done end of 2008, grout started cracking after 2 weeks. Tiles "re-fixed" by builder except they weren't and they've failed really badly leaving my floor in a terrible mess...

    Screws for Hardibacker

    Hi I've only seen specific branded screws in 30+mm for Hardibacker boards, but they seem a bit long for some installations. However, some other basic screws don't always seem to finish flush on the surface. Am I missing a trick here? Should any screws really suffice? Cheers

    laying hardibacker board without screws?

    if a floor is the same level throughout, but is half floorboards and half concrete, is it acceptable to screw 6mm hardibaker to the floorboards but just stick them to the concrete with tile adhesive? . . . or is adhesive alone not enough?
