Is latex slc recommended over water based slc?

Kitchen floor has 90 % of the bitumen taken up, there`s no loose stuff left and whats left is staying down. The floor is uneven and I will be applying sbr/cement slurry first. Should I use a latex slc or will a water based slc be ok. ? Thanks
