Hi all.
I’m after recommendations for the best adhesive for fixing Durabase decoupling matting to a concrete floor?
It’s an old concrete floor, 40m2 with some minor cracks. Planning on using tilemaster prime + grip prior to fixing the matting.
Cheers.
Hi.
If using a 6mm notched float to apply adhesive, once bedded, how thick should the adhesive be?
Additionally, I decided to buy a tile levelling system and I notice that the foot of each unit (the section that lays beneath the tile) is bent upward, like this -). It sits around 6mm high, so...

Hello,
I am still deciding the best option for laying 300x600 porcelain floor tiles on.
I am considering laying 12mm ply on top of existing 18mm floor and using Schuter Ditra.
I understand that I need a unmodified adhesive to put the tiles on top of the Ditra. Can anyone give me the name of...
Hello All,
I hope there is someone here that can advise on a tiling problem I have.
I have had two shower trays professionally tiled with 250 * 400 mm tiles. The trays are 800 * 1200 mm and the walls are 2400mm high. The walls are tiled tray to the ceiling, so full height. One shower has three...
This week for the first time I used @ISOMAT UK AK 20 to install @Schlüter-Systems Ltd Ditra and a 1200x600 porc tile. The area was 65 mts. I used the standard Schluter 4mm notch to install the Ditra and a 13mm square notch to bed the tile with a flat back skim to the tile as well of course, the...
Anyone used any of their products or know if their produced by Palace under license or imported ?
Massive in the states and have a good reputation there.
I have approx 100m2 over 3 rooms to strip back the old adhesive and fleese backing left by the detria mat.
It all has to come up as I need to meet and existing floor in one door way.
What would be the best machine to assist me in this task.
Many thanks
David
Can anbody advise if they have used the Instalay product from Instafloor which is a self-adhesive underlay that can also act as a uncoupling membrane and they say removes the need for wet adhesives. It's 2.5mm thick, thermal conductivity 0.043 m2K/W, so just under half a tog and compresses by...

Hi all.
I'm currently doing an ensuite refurb in my house. I have used hardiebackers and primed them ready for tiling, I have done a bit of tiling before but I'm a sparky by trade and I have a question with regard to adhesives for tiles of that size. Basically powdered or tubbed? Would you...
