Hi all,
I've been reading all your helpful advice to everyone, so after tearing my hair out for most of the day thought I would sign up. Please could someone clarify if I should've used Cementone SBR on top of a self levelling latex floor compound. I originally stripped the old kitchen floor...

Hi
I would like to know if it is professional practice to finish the top edge of the top row of tiles with a trim. It does provide a neater finish. If it is done, how do professional tilers go about achieving this?
Thanks for your advice
Dave
Hello
I am new to the forum and would appreciate some expert advice.
The question is: Is there some kind of self-leveling compound that can be used ON TOP of Marmox boards.
Having just knocked down a dividing wall, I find that one floor (already insulated with Marmox) is LOWER than the other...

Just wondered what you are all using for indoor domestic jobs. I used to use the Plasplugs Mastertiler, it was quiet, mess free, cut pretty much anything easily and for the cost was almost annually disposable. I loved the internal reservoir and recirculating design. They stopped making them a...
I'm in need of a bench top wet cutter after the metal arm on the blade guard finally gave up on my 10yr old Plasplugs Professional wet cutter.....not much chance of undoing the allen bolts, too caked up with adh.
So I'm after a wet cutter for splashbacks and say tiles of up to 300mm. Any...

Hi, I hope to find out if I'm being charged a fair price, please, if its an acceptable query for a guest on this forum?
I recently had quite a lot of tiling done, ceramic on wall and stone on floor.

Hi, tilers! I am hoping what I want to do is not impossible. I have an outdoor table with a glass top. I would like to create a stained glass mosaic on the underside of the table (so that the surface will be completely smooth). Can you recommend an adhesive that would be:

Hi everyone,
Is there any such thing as a self levelling compound that can be directly laid on top of Egger P5 Protect Tongue and Groove Chipboard? My builders have done just that and then tiled on top of it. My tiled floor has failed.
The Egger people have been really helpful. They say that...

Post fitting a new Uvpc window I have to patch in and around the alcove where our less than deft fitters shed tiles a plenty.
1. At the top (in the alcove on the underside if you will) is there a requirement to wedge the tiles while the adhesive goes off or will they hold?
i have either some...

What is the easiest route?... Plaster board walls with solid mosaic looking tiles... My common sense is telling me to score the tiles with my trowel... Prime and then tile? Is this the best way? Thanks
I've just come back from there and smashed the lads, 84 points. Thoroughly good fun. After the second jaeger bomb I was useless lol !!!
Any golfers on the forum ?
I'm hoping someone can answer a question for me. I'm a nob when it comes to DIY.
I've recently had my shower unit replaced and retiled, which was bodged by two cowboy builders/plumbers or whatever they are (no offence meant). So I'm having to rectify it.
I'm stripping out the grout as we...
