When tiling under a toilet how important is it to get a full tile under the toilet. Can I get away with having the toilet siting over a grout line or over four corners of tiles (as in on a cross of the tiles) Customer has 28 tiles left over from kitchen floor to be used in small downstairs...

I'm not sure whether to remove the floorboards in my bathroom, and put down ply before the hardibacker.
The floorboards are in fairly good condition by arn't exactly a flat surface. They have been cut, pulled up and put down again a few times over the years (old victorian house)...
Having a new bathroom fitted, and fully tiled. What is the recommendation - tile the whole floor then mount the toilet pan afterwards (on top of the tiles) or fit the toilet pan first then tile round it?
Either way I won't mount the cistern until afterwards.
