Hi y'all, just a quick question - about to quote for a tiny e/s and am prepping the floor before a single slab of stone is fitted. Manky floorboards are not level so the plan is to level them up with latex, sit the ufh mat in this, cover up level and let the stone boys at it. Question is does a...

I need suggestions on your approach in tiling over Marley tiles (80s). The customer wants U.F.H.
Here is the situation:
There was no mentioning of UFH until I nearly finished prepping the floor with Multibase (main substrate is screed). The floor was nasty, and managed to smooth it out...

Another piece of advice given to me is to check this by tapping the tile with my knuckles.
When I tap the middle, most tiles sounds solid but off centre on some I get a sort of hollow sound.
Majority of the hallway tiles sound hollow in the middle.
Any cause for concern?
What will happen?

Hi, I'm using 600x600 porcelain tiles to tile under my new multifuel stove and would like some advice on the following please:
Can I tile on top of the old tiles?
Best way to cut the tiles?

I would appreciate any help that you can give a complete novice.

to
1. cover the mat in a self leveling compound to give me a smooth level base to work off.
2. Just apply the adhesive to the mat, then lay the tile
3. Apply the adhesive to the back of the tile only, to prevent...
