1st job for new contact

green chipboards guys, 3 sq m etre on a bathroom floor,,pretty solid too and screwed. customer wants it tiled direct to no height isues,i have bought bal fastflex sp addy and also gt1 admix for my grout i was advised this was suitable,,have any tilers tiled direct to green chipboard before using these addys? cheers guys im doin the job tomorow and its a 1st job for a new contact so dont want to make a balls up of it

Is this the boards covered in wax ?

no ramic mate i dont think so,,its just basic green chipboard that they lay in new builds as far as i saw anyway,,no wax?

I would be pushing for backerboard myself, i refuse to do it these days without but i have done in the past with fast flex 2 part .

cheers ramic,i would obviously prefer a board also but they are adamant they dont want it,the 2 part is now spf so ill go that route this once cheers mate

Wouldn't be scared of doing 2-3m chipboard (and have done a few times in the past) with Fastflex but wouldn't do any larger areas.

I've done a few like this, it seems the new builds are pushing this more often now. If it's screwed and the joints are glued too. I'd prefer a board, even if it was only 6mm ply, but more and more just want it tiled.

I've not had any problems with any I've done as yet.
