300 x 600 ceramic wall tile - which adhesive?

I need to price up a job to fix 300 x 600 ceramic wall tiles to plaster wall. I've never tiled this size before so could do with some advice on which adhesive to use. I usually use BAL Grip or Green Star but I'm guessing these won't do the job at this size. Any thoughts are most welcome.

you need a powdered addy Richard, what single part flexible's are available locally to you. Price as per normal

As above, a powdered adhesive, mapei P9 lasts 8 hours in the bucket

Thanks for the very quick reply. I can get BAL single part flexible. What sort of depth bed are we looking at?

Try a 8mm notched trowel, if that is'nt giving enough coveridge to the back of the tile go to 10mm

Can I ask why in particular you mention flexible adhesive in this case Doug, maybe I'm missing something, but I thought Bal Wall and Floor (grey) or CTF3 (white) would do for this..

Just a personal thing mate to adhesives, one tiler will use one brand while another will use another

to my mind, the difference in price between flexi and non-flexi is negligible, and as large format tiles are being used, any movement in the substrate, however slight, could result in delaminated tiles, which is never good:lol: I just use SPF as a matter of course
