70m2 bathroom!!

on of the largest bathrooms ive tackled, after a fire at the farm it had to be totally refurbed, unfortunately some one lost their lives in the fire. when the customers bought their bathroom tiles etc they asked the place for the name of a tiler who the they recommend, also the company in charge of the full resto project, and they also asked the joiner who done kitchen etc aswell. all 3 companies are based about 30 miles apart. Yes they all gave the one same number , MINE. so i undertook the work. bathroom was very large just short of 70m2 and the kitchen behind the propper aga cooker needed tiled aswell, just a mere 7m2.

Being into screeds I automatically think of 70m2 being just the floor area. I thought flippin heck.......70m2 .... that's a bathroom and a half.
Then I looked at the pics and realised it was not the floor area but still thought that is a bathroom and a half. Well done....Beautiful job......

One small critism... the trims spoil the look of the wall tile.... but i must say.. a very nice job indeed.

its the same grout, the problem was that i had to tile and grout the lower part first before they could fit the AGA, then after it was fitted i had to go back and do the top part, photo was taken just after i had done the second lot of grouting.

Ok Sean i am looking at the photos of the Aga area. Either you clean each joint out of adhesive or you dot and dab or back spread each tile ???
Put me out of my misery and let me know which one it is ?

Back buttering/spreading is fine in a dry area on walls with ceramics as long as he achieves 65% coverage... According to bs5385 neale..

I never said it wasnt, it was a question to how the joints were so clean.
