These were recommended as were fitters for a bathroom company supposedly, we did question gaps and uneven tiles when noticed and was told all gaps etc will be sealed and grouted and said "you won't notice any imperfections with gaps and uneven tiles once grouted`"
This corner is a cutout from a bedroom where boiler is situated.
Before they came in we stripped the room and yes were painted walls behind wallpaper which we took off.
the adhesive is mapei - super flexible put a picture on pictures
Thats a tough call, Mapei is a good adhesive and the only thing to do is try and remove a couple of tiles but I doubt wether your'll have much luck but I've been wrong before.
We brought the materials ourselves so thats something we got right 🙂
Regarding the money, they have wasted around £800 of materials and £500 or so in labour, do we accept this as a lesson learned or would there be a way to to try and claim something back, as they are not going to want to, especially with no contract or so in place.
jeez it goes from bad to worse. 500 in labour so far . and a chipped bath . . you need to have a serious word with them
i do hope you get some joy with them ,but i doubt it , you may have to count your losses , start again , save has many tiles has you can
and put the job on here ,
that does sound like a good plan will confront them tomorrow see what happens.
I also have a kitchen floor and hallway which needs doing, this was going to go to them but no way now lol - tiling area around 17sqm 600x600 porcine tiles.
once we know where we stand will look at going forward, all your responses and advice have been a great help, thanks for your time.
