I used it a few months ago for a shower & mixed it up to go on with a roller & hated it.
It went everywhere.
I mixed it tight to fill in a couple of holes then mixed another batch wet & I just couldn't get on with it.
I watched a demo at a trade show & they made it look so easy but I couldn't replicate what they had done.

I find the best way to apply it is with a trowel, do all the corners and joints with a brush, then skim the main area.

I trowl it on with the flat edge and use a flexible scraper to press the thicker mix into joints.
Can be messy at times but tiling in 90 minutes. Agree with Bri and Deano best out there at the moment and reasonably priced

I'm with Whitebeam, membranes the way to go! Super fast instant tiling.
But if it has to be liquid, Ardex all the way. And I'm with Bri on the application. Lovely smooth finish with a trowel, stuff getting splash back from a roller!

I haven't used this one.. Used the Weber one for the 1st time this week, and was quite impressed with it. Nicest one I've used so far.

I have used the Ardex tanking kit applied it to 30 showers in a refurb in some flats spent 2 days tanking all the showers I found it ok, it started of a bit of a pain but as the day progressed got the hang of it my only bug bear was trying get some of it of the shower trays it was a nightmare but I have never had any comebacks yet .

I used the tilemaster tanking kit in July this year as my supplier didn't have the Weber kit, it was easy to roll on, and the rubber gasket for the corner joints easy to apply, only positives from me and I wouldn't hesitate to use it again  as with all the tilemaster products I have used.

Just bumping some of the older popular (sometimes not so popular) threads. Probably wont be current discussion these days but I just need to do it. So just ignore the thread if it's not current for you.
