Hi everyone

I was just wondering what alternatives there are to using batons to hold tiles on the wall.

I have just tanked the wall and don't want to fix a baton to the wall as this would pierce the Duarbase WP membrame that I have applied.

Can anyone suggest an alternative? i have read that someone has used Karl dahm baton stands. Would these be a good alternative? How do they work and where can I get them from?

As always your advice is appreciated.

Kind regards

Chris

Try tradetiler......

Rubi Batten stands 300mm

Very handy for supporting battens or straight edges used at the bottom of wall tiling.

Normally nails would be used to secure the batten to the wall. Quite often you will be unable to find any thing solid to nail to. sometimes the opposite, you find the wall too hard

Use these stands to get the batten supported at just the perfect height in seconds

sold in pairs

NETQUOTEVAR:LINK

weight 1.7 Kg per pair

me too (the batten stands) altho' normally I now just tile straight off the floor to a marked datum:thumbsup:

I always find it easier to work up the wall - so as Mr Boardley, I would tend to mark a level line up fom the floor - say 1 Tile.
An alternative is of course a straight edge packed up to your line with tiles to the required height.
You can get tools for everything from Tradetiler.

John.
