Helmsley. Nearest stockist is in Northallerton, then York or Teesside.

Yes, drill and whisk - the lumps were in the bag.

Direct tile importers in york and northallerton... not sure what they sell now, been a while since i was in northallerton branch..

I've used Benfer (altho I normally use Ultra), I had no probs with it at all, as previously stated, must've been a bad batch or stored in damp conditions:20:

I'm in agreement with others that it must have been a badly stored bag or bad batch. I've used loads of Benfer and found it to be excellent stuff, but a but pricey.

I get my adhesive from a couple of the local builders merchants, as there aren't any tile shops close to me. Tile Giant have said that if I order a mixed pallet they will organise for it to be delivered to my local Travis Perkins, if I want. I'm looking at that option as I can only get Ardex or Everbuild local to me and Everbuild is absolute ****.

It was Direct Tile Importers in Northallerton where the adhesive in question came from. They have stopped doing Ultra.

I use benfer from dti in york all the time and i consider it to be as good as anything on the market. was this addy leaderflex, benferflex or c2 ? as i have never had a duff bag of any of them.

also if you go to either of the york branches they have got pallets of the ultra stuff in stock.

Is it true that Benfer still hasn't had the Chromium 6 issue sorted out? Think UK based manufacturers have had to limit it in some way to stop cement burns.

There's chromium salts present in all cements and plasters as far as I am aware. I always use vinyl gloves anyway.
