i know they are good mashines, worket with them before. Just asked for opinions/advice here, as you know TF is great for that

Flex are the leading brand in polishing machines and have been for sometime.

Most of my mason customers use them or Makita who seem to have upped their game recently.

The Dewalt router/profiler is interesting. I'd not be comfortable about spending £90 on electroplated bits though unless it was for soft material like limestone.

You'd really want something vacuum brazed for longevity.

tony , just picked this up.
i have dealt with the company ( national masonry) many times over the years, and only once with stone machinery the new owners ,
i think that the new owner has probably sorted out the never ending problems i had with national masonry. i think he has got rid of the a lot of old staff.
so give them a go. ultimately you are only buying a tool and if they have it in stock at the price you want then no problem.
my problem was that i bought two alu manta italian tile saws which i saw at verona stone stone show few years back and was given national masonry as uk sole distributor.
they are brillianr saws in respect

flex has a new one.. the supraflex se 14-2 125.. the video on the webpage looks nice.

i use bosch blue line. all with variable speed. the 115 one is very small and has a perfect handling but the machines always broke down shortly after the warranty time. ALLWAYS! the 3 left ones are always in use when i tile. bosch01.jpg

i use Flex they are the best IMO,great little machine, and lots of fittings to goon them

rainsco , you looked well tooled up there!!
do you really have three grinders on site for one job!!
i also have bosch with variable speed and certainly have one with cutting wheel and another with polish pads but to have three is : absolut nichts zu glauben.das ist unmoglichkeit.
I apologise for my deutsch , but it is some time, getting on for 28 years since i was a resident of germany and indeed a citizen in munchen where strangely i had to pay kirchen steuer tax regardless of whether i attended .

yes! i use 3 every day because i´m always alone and the machines has to compensate this fakt. i like to set up my little own machine park before i start tiling. i love it.
the left one is for dry diamant pads or sandpaper to bevel porcelain gres or all kind of tile and natural stone edges. i never use grindstones or hand pads. its allways low speed. second one is to cut notches and optimize mitres.. mostly high speed. third one is a very thin cutting wheel on an extender to optimize joints and sidejoints on already laid tiles. its a very good time saving tool. on low speed you can prepare your fingernails!
by the way, best buy this year was a renovation rotary hoe.

what about you and the marmomacc? i will go on thursday to italy and visit cersaie and marmomacc. long weekend anual holiday.

im a bit stuck here on an interesting project and i only got it after commiting myself to site every day for full days. cant even get a few hours off let alone a day!!
i was hoping to meet you at marmomacc as previously discussed but next year hopefully.
gary the tiler had also mentioned bologna but think this is out as well.
will miss the pizzas as much as the tools!!

lets aim the stone tec next year. 25.05.-01.06.2013. i´ll be there cause its only 200km from me and theres a lot of tools there! (fortunately i will not miss my tools the next 4 days because i will see a lot of tools on the fairs)
