Botched Job!

I was asked to go to have a look at a bathroom that had been tiled 2 weeks ago. The customer was not satisfied with the finished work. I could understand why when i got there, every 3rd tile was lipped. Basically it was crap.

Cut to the chase, she wants it re-done. The wall is very uneven, with several bumps in it. I was wondering what would be the best way to go about this. What would be the best preparation to the wall, in order to make it easier to tile, i.e back buttering certain tiles to get them all even? therefore getting a better finish for the customer.

Can you not dot and dab some plasterboard on?

I was actually thinking about putting aqua board up, however she only has the tiles half way up the wall.

No, she is taking the tiles off. She also took the previous tiles off, and half the plaster on the wall came off. It would be easier if i could board the whole wall, but she only has the tiles half way up the wall.

Hi could you not go down the road of telling her for the good of the job and a quality finish you and she would be happy with you will have to dot dab the wall and you finish of the plasterboard at the bits that are seen the rest of the way up the wall.
Obviously add this into the cost of the job

Or skim area affected with a one coat plaster if you don`t want to board the whole wall?

I agree with Turkish a skim of plaster is the way forward by the sounds of it to give a resonable substraight

However you will go: Having read yours and this thread http://www.tilersforums.com/tiling-forum/9017-poor-quality-tiles.html make sure that the tile quality, if not provided by you, is not your responsibility.:shifty:
