Thank you

If you look at our new guide (attached) on page 8 it shows our masonry wall installation. If skimmed the same rules apply you just need to use a longer screw. We require a minimum of 50mm of the fixing into the masonry. Just increase the screw length based on the thickness of skim.

Hope this helps!

Much as I use Hardiebacker 250 to overboard floorboards quite regularly,no way in hell would trust just 12 screws to get the board secured and flat to the floor.
It might work in laboratory conditions but unfortunately I work in the real world.

We tested it with the robinson wheel, basically you add weight as the wheel goes over a floor until failure. The install with 12 x screws performed just as well as 39. We say its the minimum, more is always better but 12 we will warrant as long as our install guide is followed

The thing is,you will get raggy @rsed builders putting 12 screws in and say ''it's ready to tile'' and definitely won't be

Like any product we have installation instructions. If they are adhered to the product works no problem with the 12 x screws. But there must also be adhesive under the board, alkaline resistant tape, the boards staggered, 5mm gap around the room perimeter and most importantly the substrate is solid.

The drop to 12 x screws is designed to speed up and make the install more cost effective. Nothing wrong with putting more in of course. The markings (circles) are remaining on the board.
