just measured up for a bathroom job 21m2 (walls), customer wants tiles brick effect, i have never done this before so would appreciate any tips or advice. tiles are 330 x 250

cheers

just as any other job. mark your centers of wall and work from there. when going around a corner try to make them look as though its rapping around. look at some pics in the gallery for pointers.

I like to keep a half cut from the first cuts to use as a measure for the next row of tiles. You can also mark a second line as a half tile to keep things all lined up.

I'd still make a guage staff and mark the heights and widths, maybe marking a smaller mark on the staff where a half tile falls.

Assuming you're ok setting out on walls there shouldn't be much more time consumed setting out in brick fashion.

agree with dan, once your used to setting out brick bond its no more time consuming than normal really, I only charge a tiny bit more for this

Can be a little daunting your first time but once you start you'll soon realise there is little more work involved.

Only thing Iwould add is that walls need to be pretty flat otherwise tiles can kick out and it is not so easy to hide in brick bond.
