I have a little issue ATM with one I'm fitting at the mo. .900wide 1800long. I bedded it on flex tile adhesive. Not 3 days later the tray is moving.

Discuss Can I use hardwall as a backing to tile onto. I've been told by many u can and u can't. Many thanks in the Canada Tile Advice area at TilersForums.com.
British gypsum say no as it is one part of a two part system
I remember my chat with bg there was one under coat they would recommend but not hardwall . When I was trying to get an answer why it wasn't suitable and not just take because I said so I got accused of being aggressive.BG change the goal posts to suit by the sound of it.

Bad bad idea...What's everyone's views on bedding shower trays on to ply wood with sand and cement.
If you make a screed mix that is meant for 75mm plus so thin bedding under shower tray there should not really enough thickness for it to be strong enough . Have removed a few trays which were s+c bedded came away really easy. We always bed flexible tile adhesive , much better product to use at those thicknesses .Bad bad idea...
