A Terrible idea! But it happens a lot. A tray will not bond to sand and cement and, neither will ply wood really

I have been told alway use silicon to bed them down on. It's flexible and bonds to the tray and plywood. BUT......... Manufactures state sand and cement. Don't want to upset the warranty. But surely it's better to use silicon

I have a little issue ATM with one I'm fitting at the mo. .900wide 1800long. I bedded it on flex tile adhesive. Not 3 days later the tray is moving.

If it has failed on Tile adhesive it would of failed on cement . We have had failures on Silicon random crack in tray . We stick lots of trays with flexi Tile adhesive much like tiling you have to make sure you have good coverage

There is very minimal movement in the ply wood. So I can't see it being this But maybe it is. It's very frustrating.
