Ceramic floor tiles...?

Hi guys,

I have been asked by a customer to lay ceramic floor tiles have always told people not to use ceramic on floor as it can break easy. But she is no budging on the tiles. It's only a small area 3x2 m2 in a kitchen. Anyone have any tips or advise on laying ceramics on floors as I've never done it. I haven't seen the substrate yet but guessing its concrete. Thanks in advance.

100% coverage as with all floor tiles.
Nothing wrong with laying ceramics on a floor as long as they are floor tiles & not wall...

Yep, so long as they are suitable for floors and that you fix them correctly, nothing wrong with ceramics.

You have always advised customers to not use ceramic floor tiles as not suitable but yet you have never ever laid them .... bit of a contradiction..?

Have you quoted the PEI rating to your customers so they can decide what is best .?

As above. Nothing wrong with ceranic on the floor if thats there soecifeid use, however......
I do advise my customers of the benefits of porcelain over ceramic.
What is it like? Could you not find a close match in porcelain?

Its probably a tight backside cutomer £7 per sqm from bnq Ali lol. But still ive seen them be tiled and outcomewas fine even carried a fridge and washer across them 🙂 and set the table n chairs back up for them lol.
