Doing a kitchen and customer might want me to bathroom floor at some point.
Problem is the floor is a really crap patchwork of chipboard (as is the landing - looks like its been patched up with any type of scrap wood - rather than proper floorboards).
Obviouslly you can't tile on this but how would you deal with the chipboard bathroom floor to prepare for tiling?
Can you screw marine ply over it? or do you need rip up the chipboard floor?
I think they are having a bathroom fitted shortly in its present state!
Would it be a good idea to advise them to get the floor sorted out before plumbing in the bath/sink - if the floor IS to be tiled later on?
