Concrete floor

B

Brindle

If a concrete floor has already been laid with a fall down to the water outlet point (which looks like a white 4 inch pipe with a screw in plug, what is the easiest type of gulley etc to use if tiling direct to the floor (on top of w/proof matting).
Also is there a thread somewhere giving cutting guide for the tiles around the gulley to ensure falls etc.
Much appreciated!
Bob

I don't think they have used any grid type shuttering to get the fall in to the concrete, but the floor is clearly falling to the outlet form all sides, in the showering section

Depending what the fall is then there are different thicknesses of gully covers...use a long straight edge across the floor and see what the gap is down to the outlet...then give Wetdec a shout and see what he has got to suit it.......

As for the tiling then mosaics are an easy option or if using tiles then they need to enveloped to suit the falls........

Thanks Dave, I'll get in touch with Wetdecs.
They are using bigger tiles 300x300 I think. I've not done the enveloping before so could do with finding a guide

Heres one i did....it's just case of cutting the tile where ever they cross the fall line......might be easier for you to draw line from the gulley to each corner of the fall area , then cut tiles to suit....

this one i did was easy ..just a simple cut from point to point as it worked 4 full tiles...

or this way..but its not my job...

i know it has a platform but to show how to cut the envelope effect....

Is it just a case of increasing the thickness of adi from the gulley out to ensure the fall, or do the tiles naturally kind of fall with these cuts according to the base?
