curved wet room walls

Hi
I want to build a curved mosaic wetroom wall.
It will be 1.8m wide, 2.5m high (floor to ceiling) with a radius of about 800mm.
I intend to use Gypframe CurveLyner and C studs for the frame.
I can't decide whether to use Marmox 20mm curved board or two layers of 6mm BG Glasroc.
I'll also need to decide on the right tanking solution for this wall.
Any help on tanking, boards or alternatives would be great!
Thanks

Hi Paul
The Glasroc is good for 600mm radius and Marmox is as low as 400mm, although that would be a cosy shower. 800mm still makes a spacious shower.

bit more info please is it a shower wall and whats on the floor (timber or concrete)and yes that is a tight radius:8:

i suppose it does when you think about it right and double the 800 mm :mad2:

I suppose if it's a radius of 800mm, the diameter will be 1600mm:8: which gives it a cirumference of over 5 metres 🙂

Hi Jay
Yes, sorry I didn't state the obvious; it is a curved shower wall.
Floor is concrete screed with wet ufh and the adjoining wall is concrete block.
Screed is already sloped down to the drain.

sorry had to work just trying to understand the curved wall i get the height but is the curved wall only .800 from internal corner sorry cant picture it as for tanking you best talk to wetdecks but hes hard to get hold of if you go with a membrane system make sure you follow the instructions closely in regards to bead breakers and primers and what adh is guaranteed over membrane as not all adh will work hope this helps:8:

Hi Jay
The wall will be about 1.8m long and curved on a 800mm radius (about your arms length) so the tanking needs to be flexible and able to follow that curve.

Anyone got an opinion on whether I should use Marmox 20mm curved board or two layers of 6mm BG Glasroc?
