I've never smoked - the view is no better from the moral high ground though. when you get up that high it is full of smog from the smokers.......

I'm an ex smoker too, and nothing gives me more pleasure than passive smoking or wanting to spark up when I'm out socialising. but I gave up for 2 reasons, 1 - my husband asked me to, and 2 - because I wanted to look better than my mum when I get to her age. she smoked until she was 50 and it's taken it's toll on her skin. i don't want wrinkles, creases or horrible looking skin/teeth. fairly selfish reasons but that's how i experienced the smoking life.

Thats me knackered then............and I'm only 48.

confession time.... I've fallen off the wagon lately, never ever in the house or anywhere that the kds will see me tho', but I do know that I can pack up without climbing the walls etc. However, when I packed up last time I put nearly a stone on and I didn't feel all that healthy for it. Pic below is from when I was at my heaviest (11.5 stone)

i think when I do give up for good, I'll probably have to do some dieting/training to keep the weight down tho'. I'm only 5'6"" so I really don't want to carry excess baggage.
