Best way to prevent this is visual inspection before each time you use the blade.

Always ensure that the max rpm printed on the blade does not exceed the rpm on your grinder.

Choose the correct cutting disc for the job e.g. silicon carbide or diamond etc

The correct way to cut a curve to minmise chance of injury would be to do it in several straight cuts (the bl;ade isnt designed to bend remember) and the correct way to grind is with a grinding disc rather than using a cutting disc (many of us will grind with a cutting disc, I can hold my hands up here. lol)

This is the type of thing that is covered on the training when attaining an abrasive wheel card.

To put a plug socket in we drilled out the corners from the front of the tile. So that it guarantees the blade will not run on.

Pop the socket in. Perfect fit every time. Works on Large format porcelain tiles.
