Decide how strong tile adhesive I should use

When choosing what strength level of tile adhesive, what elements (e.g., tile size, thickness or other) should I consider?

Adhesive is normally sold in flexibility levels rather than strength levels .

Sorry, I may let you misunderstood. What I mean is that using different level of tile adhesive is based on tile size, tile thickness or any other factors?
