Just to clarify. The goods purchased are separate to any quote or estimate for labour and fitting?
If that's the case then id pay you're more than entitled to the goods and sack the fitters due to incorrect installation and say you've lost faith in their ability to install your bathroom correctly.
Looking at the pictures you've shown (and lets face it that's only a fraction of the whole works) i wouldn't feel that you would be left with a room that's fit for purpose.

Yes, don't want them finishing the job, just worried they won't give my goods let alone a refund for the tiles. I haven't paid any labour charges yet, and I am concerned they will demand some payment?

If its a showroom you have bought the gear from and they have these people as installers go in and demand they go around and take all that out as its just not good and up to any sort of standard!
Is it a reputable company?

Yes bought from showroom, being installed by showroom/owner of showroom and his 'team', I thought it was a reputable company but obviously not....

I think a good solution would be they give you the goods. You paid for them and have proof of purchase. They're yours.
I don't believe they're entitled to any payment for work completed as its seriously below par to the point of being dangerous.
If i were you id write off the cost of tiles you've paid against anything they ask in labour.

Put an ad on the looking for a Tiler board on this forum and perhaps visit the plumbers forum as well. Check a few references a get good professionals in.
Least you checked their work and there's no harm or damage done. Just out of pocket on the tiles.
Shame you're not a little closer id come quote you to do a proper job.

Not a problem.
You're well within your rights in my opinion. Good luck!

Nat, don't be afraid of these guys, easy for me to say. When you originally ordered all the tiles etc, was it a manager/owner who you dealt with? It may be worth trying to find out who the owner of this showroom is and ask him/her to come and look at the standard of the work, before they carry out any more work in the bathroom. Are the tradesmen (loose term) employed by the showroom or are they subcontractors? If the owner sees what work is being carried by these people he/she may not be so keen to use them again, he/she needs to know

They have a duty to carry out work to an acceptable standard, and the pics clearly show that the work is well below that requirement.

You have enough information now to put a case together that the work is not acceptable.

Hi John, its a husband and wife who own the business, husband is the bathroom installer and wife deals with showroom side of things.
The husband has been here of and on and he had a team of 3 guys tiling etc, its just a complete mess to be honest and am dreading Monday, haven't contacted them today as I feel this would give them prior warning and chance to make up excuses?
