Glad everything is getting sorted properly for you now Nat.

Does this company you used orginally have a website or are they only any trader sites where you can leave feedback?

Yes they have a website etc, just reluctant to do anything more if they are supposedly re-ordering my tiles at the moment, my Dad has started removing the tiles and the adhesive was still dam underneath some of them, complete cowboys!!!

I have gone from being really upset about all this to being annoyed, I have 2 young children and they could have been in the shower/bath etc, a tile could have come off all because they wanted to cut corners, how can 'professionals' go away from a job like this and not be worried about what could happen after? Shameful!

Well done Nat, you stuck to your guns, he knew he'd messed up and he had to rectify it. All that worrying you had, you just put the facts to him after listening to the guys on here and hopefully it will all work out for you.

Well done for standing guns ,there are chancers in every town and city out there that do bad craftsmanship day in day out,yet they seem to get away with it most the time, people need to stand up for themselves and stamp these people out !!!!

These people have been around for donkeys years and will remain until some kind of regulations are administered....BOB HOPE AND NO HOPE.

shocking! he obviously wasnt botherd about the finnish of this job either you had it cheap as chips or hes a cowboy either way an ameture couldnt of done this bad (me) lol

where about in south wales are you ? cardiff by any chance? i got funny feeling that i know who messed up that bathroom.

Strange because even when I have had special order tiles for customers from either Italy or Spain it's normally around a fortnight from point of order to delivery.

I watched a re-run of Grand Designs the other week and in the background the "tiler" was fixing 600x600mm polished porcelain on the floor using dot and dab.......my wife raised more than an eybrow at my language. Must be getting old shouting at the telly.

On a serious note, Ive had to do so many repairs to leaky showers/baths over the last couple of years I never use tubbed adhesive anymore in wet areas. Its just not up to the job if any moisture makes it past the tiles. Saying that I hardly ever get anything other than porcelain or natural stone or just large format anyway so bagged adhesive is the only choice.

Just bumping some of the older popular (sometimes not so popular) threads. Probably wont be current discussion these days but I just need to do it. So just ignore the thread if it's not current for you.
