Drill recommendations

Can those who know there tools please recommend a drill for around £100.

Ideally Li-ion but I'll leave it to you all. I know on my little budget I'm not gonna get much but it would be nice to know what to steer towards.

Also if you know where to buy from, any good deals please say.

Do like the bosch ones but for that price your'll only get the 1.3ah type batteries

I am not sure you will get Li-ion for you budget. I bought a Makita set with 2 batteries but Ni-cads a few years back and its still serving me well every day. For the £99 i paid wiith drill bit set i would say its good value.

the trouble with ebay is if the thing goes wrong and all the hassle in returning the item

Dunno mate i havent really been looking for drills lately, which ones did you have in mind.

Just found it, remember what I said about the green Bosch? When a battery doesn't state 'ah' then it is normally very poor, I know I said go for a Li-ion battery on the other forum but in this price bracket I would go for the double Makita 14.4v drills, B&Q do a deal and so do screwfix

I agree with CR, i wouldnt consider a drill without at least 2 batteries.

a lot of the top drills on ebay for under £100 will be for the body only and do not come with a battery, read the full details before bidding, there is one complete makita drill Li-ion (new) that is under £100 but the seller does not have any feedback, so again tread carefully

160 would buy you a makita 18v 3.0ah im sure. I have one and paid around that last year.still goin strong and a 22 minute charger helps.it drives my radio too.

Cheers CR I couldn't find the ah so wasn't sure. I thought li-ion would mean it was o.k.

The drill is a pressent from my father-in-law hence the price limit.
