Hi Chaps

New on here, 1st post.

Ive got that dewalt drill, £98 from b and q, nice bit of kit for the money and if memory serves it also has a metal gearbox. Out of interest b and q's range of mculloch( spelling?) apparently comes out of the same manufacturer as the yellow and black variety, might be worth further investigation if you dont mind the colour of the drill.

well he knows I have a de walt as a spare (my bosch is my main drill) and my dewalt has two batteries, but Harrison, my 4 year old has laid claim to my de walt, so tough luck Pops!!

Thats adorable!! I'd say bless his little cotton socks, but I've seen him and he looks like a tuff lad like his Daddy!

This post might be a little late but trust me there's no need to spend a fortune on a 18v Li-ion drill trust me.
I tend to buy the best most expensive tools money can buy and last year bought an 18v Li-ion makita combi drill and for 360 notes I'm not impressed one little bit, the chuck rusts, the torque settings don't go high enough, the chuck lossens off whilst drilling, the gears are sometimes very hard to change and for £360 it's not worth it.
I bought a Ryobi 18v Li-ion drill for £99 on offer down from £129 and it's far better than the makita particularly when considering the price difference, ok the batteries are only 1.3Ah but you get two, and larger ones can be bought from screwfix.
