some of these NO SWEARING are getting paid 2/3 million a year on a 15 year career and moaning about it!
by the time most retire there grandkids won't even have to work!
i burst my backside week in week out(doing a 6 day week at the moment)and if i make a mistake a customer would be tearing strips from me and holding back payment.if they play rubbish they still pick up 50k that week:ban:

but you still get a choice dc. if you want to earn that kind of money, then you have to be a footballer. if they do play rubbish and still get paid, well that's an issue with the employer that they work for.

don't forget tho boys, some of these footballers will only play until they're 35 at most. they need to maximise their earnings now, because what else will they do beyond football? no every footballer goes into commentating or punditry.

they will also be paying 40% tax or more too.

After 35 they should work like the rest of us, I’m sure half the country has had a career change at the age! I would employ a couple of them as hod carriers seeing as they are so fit

I'm a Liverpool fan and have been most of my life but when going to the match costs a small fortune you can only afford to do it in a blue moon.

I am really against higher tax bands for top earners, I couldn't care less that someone if someone gets paid £150k a week if they earned it through sheer hard work or set up a company and is responsible for employing other people. Why should you pay more tax just because you worked hard?!!! But for footballers I’m glad they pay 50% tax
