Our smoke detector has just started bleeping as the battery is low, go and check yours now, especially if you have kids in bed. Stay safe TF friends.

Thanks a lot Bri! Mine did that and the batteries were removed to stop the beeping approximately 3 years ago (one in the hall, outside the kitchen), 18 months ago (one upstairs at the top of the landing) and 14 months ago (one in the basement, outside the boiler room).

I must remember to revisit this thread in about 6 months and remind myself to get some new batteries.... :lol:

Ours starting bleeping and it's connected to the electric system and even they have batteries...
