The floor should be tiled first irrespective if UFH is fitted or not.
A pro tiler will only on a very rare occasion damage a floor tile when tiling the walls.

I cant believe you are having this trouble again with another tiler.
Even if they say they have 25 years experience then it counts for nothing if they have never tiled right in the 1st place.

I had a guy with 25year experience advising my friend that you PVA tiles before tiling on top of tiles!! :mad2:

I hope you get this situation sorted eventually.

If the tile joints are following floor to wall or has ufh laid then yes other than that walls first...IMO

anyway it doesnt matter now,,,floors poor as said are you going to get another tiler in action?

No more tilers. I will live with the minor lippage and make the best of it myself this weekend. 2 x floor and wall tiles to be removed before i begin which means i have to buy more tiles....

Im continually being told that zero tile lippage is achiveable, but what is passed as acceptable? O.5mm? Not interested in the regs, just wondered at what point would a pro tiler move onto the next tile?

Yilkes! I'm afraid you've not employed a qualified wall and floor tiler. This is why I urge for the Government regulations to tighten up and make sure that people entering homes know what they are doing and have PROOF of a government-backed qualification and not a Mickey-mouse 2 day course qualification. It has to stop. Innocent people are getting fleeced and the true tradesman are getting underpriced and put out of a job by the unqualified cowboys employed of the poorly erected new-build homes which stopped production after huge profits disappeared. I'm witnessing a flood in Yorkshire of building site "handymen" who aren't qualified in jack, doing anything that is offered for next to nothing without paying tax, and the public are lapping it up because it's cheap. We are in a whole new world now where cheap overrules common sense. I wish I was in great homes in London, where people will pay for good honest and qualified work, but as it stands, I'm looking for a regular job as now nobody wants an ICA Level 2 (Distinction) ex Tiler of the Year charging £25/sqm (ceramics) round here. Skilled labour is about to die out fellas...be warned!....

Wow! You boys change the tune when you're telling me off for laying a 12mm ply base and then Rich doesn't condemn a 12mm adhesive bed? Great adhesive or otherwise, it's malpractice.

You want to wind your attitude right in.

And if I recall correctly, it was 9mm wasn't it. ?

That is another thread, so leave this one to the matter in hand and not your dummy spit for wrong practice.

A lot of lippage going on around here. Whats going on. These tilers are giving OP more lip than Mohammed Ali gave George Foreman.
AS/NZS lippage for over 300mm polished is 1.5mm. But I wont tolerate more than 0.5. if the tiles are top quality. As already said as long as the floor is good, a good tiler should get close to zero lippage. If you have up to 1.5mm lippage and you are happy with it then go for it. I can understand why you wont get another tiler in though.
