More and more in Lancashire area. Still mainly clueless and they're sold as rapid drying with no mention of laitence or sanding or heating commissioning.
Thankfully there are still some brilliant sand and cement screeders around here.

with my very, very limited dealings with these companies I've found the same. No mention of drying times and very little details in the hand out paperwork.

He's payed, they have been back and ground some off but will still need a sh#t load of leveler to make good..

Pics look like combination of moisture and poor prep. Lots of laitance and dust on the back if that tile which suggests inadequate sanding or vacuuming. Looking at it I think you would have struggled even with a compatible adhesive. With cement it looks like it was doomed.

if I could choose one substrate only to tile on it would be the alpha hemi hydrite ones I get here. Every tiler should have testing equipment but especially for gypsum screeds.
Anyway, mine's good to go

Just because it's been professionally sanded, doesn't mean it's been done properly, most of the Anny screeds I go to, they say, the company came back sanded it so it is fine to tile, when in fact it's not, sand them too early and more latence will settle, and the guys screeding don't care about the prep a quick go over with light machine and they think it's fine, when in fact again it's not, same with proper dying times, they tell customers it will dry in X amount of time, when we all know it's only dry when a proper hygrometer or other test is done and gives sufficient reaults. Knowledge on these screeds is key

Apparently tilemaster make analfix to order now, as it’s not widely used and being sodded off, as it causes more problems for contractors than the initial layout .
Most of the ones I’ve done are ok, the one I’m on at the moment is the worst floor I’ve ever tiled
