Getting wet from the wet cutter.

im using my angle grinder with a marcrist blade when ever possible these days instead of the wetcutter , ok you have to go outside but i usually set up the mixer in the cliients garage and do all the cutting and drilling there too, gives you more space to work inside...

Ive just invested in a norton blade for the anglegrinder, not really a method i've used before but im going to give it a bash and try and minimise the use of the wet cutter and see how it goes.

Yea i've just got a Marcist for my angle grinder not used it yet...what do you cut onto (paving slab? use side of workbench?) do u cut the whole way through the tile?

to oli and freed !! the angle grinder is the tilers best friend , its the most versatile tool you will own ... practice on old tiles if necessary its not hard to use , its an essential piece of kit imo....

I do the same as PJC. Stand the other side and pull the tile towards me. Can't beleive that wouldn't have come to more peoples minds rather than getting soaked every day.

ok Andy but what do u cut down onto...i take it you cut through the tile so what do u put underneath?

you dont need to put anything underneath , if its a smaller tile you can balance it on your knee while cutting or if its a large tile sit it on a crate or workbench with the cutting line hanging over the edge, as i said before get some practice in with it , next time you are cutting porcelain tiles round a quadrant showerbase you will be screaming out my name in thanks !! :lol:

sigma will cut it with the grinder as andy p said practice and dont force the blade just guide it :8:
