Met up with an old mate yesterday he had his P60 and opened it up and showed me his last years earning.......£43,000 not in cluding a bonus of £1200.....what does he do for a living..


















He drives a bus in the Stratford and surrounding areas...strewth I'm in the wrong game :yikes:

Aye but, is he passionate about driving the bus?? There some guys working in factories up my way earning 30 -40 k per year for jobs that any idiot could do, yes there is obviously shift work but the money is good but consider the down side, dead end jobs like this, you need to switch your brain off, no amount of money is worth that tbh. You are what you do in life and you need to do what you are, you can't put a price on being in the right career in life.

Where you finding 5 x 10 mtr jobs a week. I'm lucky if I can find that many a month!!

Bus drivers are well Passionate about there jobs, my mums hubby is a ex driver and still waves at the buses when he walks or drives past one,the dick has been retired 20 years,proper anoraks !

How come many aren't earning 40k+ if the pricing forum is always quoting mainland prices of £25pm? 10m a day isn't much of a push and that's more than £200 a day after tax v expenses. Plenty of tilers in NI clearing a grand a week at £15 so at £25 it should be made by Wednesday :lol:

10 years ago it would be 20 -30 m2 a day no problem. and the same laying sand and cemment and tiling the same day. the most done in a day 80m2 6x6 jonsons on wall depends on the work you do small domestic or contract work

you have to mix work between domestic and contract were jobs can be over a 1000m2 you soon speed up:8:
