Got to site today and it was pouring hard...went into the house and started work, and about an hour later went out to the van and on the side of the road was a Pigeon that had been hit by a car. It was in a deep puddle and it's wings was really badly smashed and was flapping like mad. Now i really felt bad, do i put it out of its misery or let the poor thing die a painful death. Well i put it out of its misery, i hate having to do things like that but it was for the best And no it wasn't having a bath....

had to do the same with a small deer a sort time ago . i felt c..p for a week . very sad to see a it go in my arms . now how you feel mate

It would probably have eventually gone into shock and died anyway. You just saved it further distress.


On the other hand it may have gone on to breed a lovely family and be a valuable member of bird society........murderer! ( just kiddin)

I saw on the local Southern News that the International Racing Pidgeon Combine were trying to trace the whereabouts of their Gold Medal winning **** missing on the return journey from Bordeaux!
It was Beige/grey with a red beak and 2 blue rings on its right leg.
Any chance you found it!
