Grout joint size with floor tiles

Looking for some advice on grout joints.

Customer has chosen a tile from a brochure but it appears to be displayed with a very small grout joint which she likes. I believe that b.s. 5385 states minimum floor grout joint to be 3mm. Picture looks less than this.

Are there any circumstances that you can go below british standards and have narrower joint or should I advise that 3mm is smallest I will go.

Thanks

B.S. 5385 doesnt state what width grout joints have to be, it just advises that a joint in between tiles is used. this depends on personal preferance, if tiles are of a rectified edge then no less than 2mm . todays substrates require a tiled floor to have a joint of some nature for movement purposes.

2-3mm is a good working plan for floor tile joint gaps.

Particularly for floors with movement in them, as this will allow movement without tiles lifting.

2/3mm minimum on ceramic, porce, marble, granite, slate and terracotta generally can look fine up to 10mm,if tiles are all different sizes when they should be the same then open joints up a bit and shuffle all the tiles before laying.

Looked into this further and B.S. 5385 part 3 states minimum of 3mm for floor tile grout joints.
