When I get tired of tiling at times, I think about it, and I normally come to the conclusion that "it's the customer's fault"; They nag, they whine, they *****, they don't know **** and they don't listen, and they buy crap tiles, and they want turd sandwhiches turned into lobster dinners for pennies, etc etc... Occasionaly atleast. Most customers are fairly decent, but those who aren't can make me feel ****ing sour...

Try site work if you're used to domestic work. It's totally different, and there is usually less hassle imo.

hi crazy mate,,im doin ok,,same as you gettin plenty work but a lot of it you cant complete to the best standard as the customers wont listen to advice regarding walls,,plaster etc,,at the end of the day they pay the money but i completely agree you cant be doing work for the same price when its taking you longer due to them changing there minds etc i know it must frustrate you mate,,think back to your old job and why you wanted to change mate im sure your in a better position now than you were before?? we all have crappy days sometimes weeks lol stick with it mate!!

im lacking the old "experience" but i have alot of work lined up and wanted to give in so much, i hated it with a passion, but theres no way im leaving a job unfinished, so i turned on the radio today and went for it, had a good half day finished up and went on to my part time job in the evening, felt good cos i didnt give up, windows down in the van, radio up! jimmy hendrix - all along the watchtower, huey lewis and the news - the power of love, dire straits - sultans of swing etc really good day, stick with it and once youve encountered these problems they will just become regular work as you'll have that experience and knowledge of how to handle the problem for next time, you'll be plain sailing eventually but it all takes time i guess :yes:

best feeling ever is knowing you've done a good job and your on your way home stuck in rush hour traffic, all windows down cos youve been working so hard even tho its peeing it down outside, your right arm is still out the window taping along to the beat of the radio on your roof and you dont care about whistling along to your fave song on the radio while all the misserable buggers stuck in their cars in traffic thinking your bonkers, thats what i do when ive done a decent job and happy with my days work :yes:
