Hi all,

I make garden stuff from recalimed roofingslate so not a tiler as such - but i do a hell of a lot of cutting.

Expect lots of daft questions about electric wet tile saws.

I'm just gonna put a proper question in the tools section. I've been using a Plasplugs Compactplus (its a model up, just, from the "Tommy walsh special") and strangley enough I've sorta killed it. It only works if I keep my finger holding down the on button - the thermal cut off switch is permantly engaged. Perhaps it doesn't like 200 cuts between 4-7mm thick and lengths between 50 & 500mm

I've been using a Plasplugs Compactplus (its a model up, just, from the "Tommy walsh special") and strangley enough I've sorta killed it.

Its only suitable for the small kitchen wall type tiles and you'll find no professional guarantee.
