Hello,I'm trying to make a 1.2m square moveable mat using underfloor heating cable and controller. It's for my girlfriend who's studio is in an unheated victorian mill building where no gas heating of any sort is allowed. Electric heaters are costing way too much;I've made a timber frame, inside which is 3.5mm ply, then 22mm polystyrene and am now stuck. Was going to put another 3.5 ply, heating cables embedded in adhesive and vinyl tiles. Now realize tiles will probably melt with heat,so if instead I put 10mm ply on top of polystyrene,is there an adhesive for solid tiles that will cope with the likely deflection?? Weird I know but I thought the experts might have ideas,I thought to bed ceramic tiles onto Silicon, but I've read many posts and threads and now am sure I'm just being a twit...
