i do alot of kitchen splash backs and the way u have described the work and sorrounding i would ask for some money up front before u lift a trowel:thumbsup:

Agree with all the other posts mate, ask for a deposit, if you don't get it walk away as you know the client hasn't got the money!!!

If you didn't get the money you could possibly sell the debt on to a debt collecting agency and im sure they would get the money!!! (bit drastic i know like!!!)

Hi Lm, Me personally I would'nt bother, I done somethink for a guy I new but was'nt a drinking buddy. An artex ceiling and nothing but hassle ended up with a slagging match in his hallway just about got my money, Your've been warned

don't do it mate, prob be in your tools and everything if you need to go to the van. For a £200 splash back, not worth the worry, IMO

Probably right decision, if you have a day spare now get yourself out looking for some other work closer to home. Best of luck
