i agree to an extent by my worry would be, have you had permission from the customer to spread their home on your website?..and that the mention of "multi-trade" is a bit unfair,as your generalising in a multi-tradesmen..we are not all like this! It would have been better stating a plasterer that thinks he can tile..as mentioned in the original post.

Andy does mention that he is a plasterer in the 1st paragraph, although it does need an 'e' and and 'r' to complete the word Andy :sofahide:

Hi Ian,
He did the plastering/plumbing/tiling/joinery?
So he's done a mufti-trade job!
Sorry if its offended you......

Hasn't offended me at all...but generalisation can be misunderstood...what amazes me is if he has done it all..how the hell did he think he was getting a connection to that isolation valve he's tiled over! I still cannot get my head round it all...he should be shamed as a tradesmen...I just feel it may be worded better to protect others like Alastaircage, bubble craft and myself...as we do much the same in terns of trades..but in a more professional way..well if like to think :builder2:

I don't think anyone on here has a problem with multi-trades. What they do have a problem with is people who profess to be multi-trade, when they may have stuck a few 10x10s on a splashback at home, now means they can go ahead and tile a full bathroom or wetroom. Half the problem they have is that they don't have the correct tools. They would not go out and maybe spend £2-300 on tools and only get one job, so therefore they are NEVER going to get the same finish no matter how multi-skilled they are!!!

This applies to ALL trades. Ok so I could put an additional socket on a ring main in my own house. Would I do it in a customers? No I would not. If I was Part P, different matter, then I would be qualified to carry out that work
