how much do you factor-in for

staying away from home ie. B&B, evening meal, snack for lunch, this is a question for the guys that work away from home a lot or to the guys that dont if you had to put this in to your price what would you charge???? have a go at givenig me fair price's?? thank's lad's Gooner59

Haven't worked away for a few years know, but the last time i did, we were given £55.00 per night to cover room and expenses. I thought this was quite good at the time.

I don't or haven't worked away mate but As long as you cover your costs so that your not out of pocket but don't go over the top. Say £10 meal and £50 B&B sounds good to me

we are lucky to get that unless its private client and it normally comes out of our mtr rate unless its under 100 mts even if its in Europe but if someone wanted me to do a small job away from home would ask them to provide digs or pick up the tab

been here mate you can end -up sleeping in some dodgy place's, the reason i'am asking is because we have lost a conrtact due to overhead's and i did not think we where expensive in this area we charge about £60 per person per night!!
and as the other lad's have proved we are not realy,so maybe you should look at getting a better rate yourselfe mate!! good luck

I would charge £100 per day if it's driveable to - £50 for accomodation, £25 for food, £25 for petrol... have never had to drive too far...

would't it depend on what area your working in ?

digs, snacks, and evening meal would cost a lot more in london than it would in say gloucester, you can get a pub meal down here for less than a fiver, and a b and b for £15 to £20.

we have to fix em a bit faster lol lot of the big boys dont care how good you are but how cheap you are IMO and some of the staff look like they are getting something else out of it ete

I did a couple of bathrooms for a customer a couple of years ago and he rang me the other day asking if I would do his third bathroom. I have now moved away but said I would do it for him. I will probably add £40 on top of my day rate. I can get a room for £22 per night/evening meal about £10 and £8 for lunch etc, that would be enough for me
