How to calculate your grout requirements

I use Laticrete products, and this is their spreadsheet calculator:

Note there is a metric spreadsheet and an imperial spreadsheet.

FYI, if you're not familiar with Laticrete products...use the "1500 Grout" tab for sanded grout, and use the "1600 Grout" tab for unsanded grouts.

But I also buy more than I need for that 'just in case' moment.
'It'll come in handy for the next job' is the usual confirmation if required.

nothing worse than having to go back to the shop to finnish off less than a sq metre of floor or something. I guess grout quantity most of the time too, unless its a large area or something a bit more tricky like mosaics.

9 times out of ten I just get a 5kg bag to do a kitchen floor or can even get bathroom walls done (tile size permitting ofcourse)

I guess if youve got a decent relationship with the tile shop they will let you take it back in exchange for something else.
