We have had our shower cubicole for about 18 months. We have replaced the sealant where the tiles join the base half a dozen times. It goes black and moudy looking in no time. We got a supposedly good quality sealant, but the problem is back.
Has anyone any suggestions as to what to use that will not look so gross after a couple of months?

no we don't, other than a window but at this time of year it is so cold to leave it open for long.

Ventilation is a must in showers due to the steam, leaving the shower door open after a shower will slow the problem down but not solve it.

What floor is the bathroom on? can you vent via the loft?

The shower room is on the ground floor. There is not much depth under it, only the joists before you hit the foundation of the house. The flooring in the room is floor boards which is colvered with cushion floor.
