Is It A Bad Tiling Job?

I have paid the tradesman for changing the taps, just awaiting him to come and have a look at the tiles, hope he will agree a fix.

Hi, please can I have your advice, I have them come in and have a look, they are ok to replace 2 of the uneven tiles and clean the grout on the ceiling, but refused to re-grout the tiles, they said it is a good job, they said they grout should look like this, I am not too sure, please can you advise. Thanks.

Only you can decide if your happy or not with the job
If your not happy and there are problems with the work that the tiler won't sort out then don't pay and get someone else in to put it right
From the pictures you've posted it doesn't look great if it was my house they would be ripped off and done again
just my opinion for what its worth

I am very unhappy, the woman come to our house and speaking not very nice, she keep saying their work is good, when I tell her is not good, she was not happy, I will not pay them, I have made a complaint throught ratedpeople.com, I hope they will send someone to come to have a look at the job, if it can not be sorted, I will go for Citizen advise.

I have, a woman and another man just came from their company, they said the job is good, no need to re-grout, just to replace the 2 uneven tiles and clean off the grout by the ceiling, they refuse to re-grout, the woman said the grout looks good and said we are not co-operating with her.

I have checked with Porcelanosa, they confirmed to me that all the tile sizes are correct, email reply as bellow, can we say this is not the tile sizing issue now?

Many Thanks for sending the photos to me. Looking at the pictures, the tiles are all the correct size. This is a installation error. You can clearly see on the photos that the tiles have not been aligned properly as in some places the grout joint is smaller than in others, it appears the installer has not used the correct size tile spacers either. You can also see in the photos that the tiles have not been cut and finished correctly when meeting the ceiling as you can see where more filler has been needed.


I suggest you go back to your installer regarding this, as there is not a problem with the tiles, the problem lies with the installation.
