They will probably be imported from the far east, they will have a nano seal applied which does work. Most suppliers import Chinese porcelain (including the main distributors) at very cheap prices although their attention has moved to Vietnam etc since the anti dumping tax was imposed by the EU.

Totally agree - any tiles around the £30 per sqm mark will be unlikely to cause any issues.
